This stunning women’s fashion ring features three round emeralds prong set in rose gold, accented by shared prong set diamonds on the shoulders of the delicate, rounded shank. It was created for a client from Brooklyn, NY, who reached out to us online to learn more about the custom design process and to share her vision of the piece she wanted.
Her original request was for a solitaire using a large, round green stone, but after exploring options for this design, she decided to go with three smaller gems that would better be able to match the color she was after. We then proceeded to the CAD phase of the project where she could see digital images of her unique design. In order to make sure every detail was perfect, she requested we ship her a wax model to examine in person before giving her final approval to move the piece into production. Three Round Emeralds
There are three round emeralds in this piece, all of which together total 0.30 carats. They’re prong set in a line across the top of the band, and their minty green color is exactly what the client was looking for. Her initial request was for a light green tourmaline, but after examining various sample stones, she decided that emeralds better achieved the look she was after. Rose Gold Engagement Rings
She also debated which metal to use to complement the color of the emeralds best. She first asked for rose gold, but she also requested to see renders of the design with both rose and yellow gold so that she could get a feel for how each would look with the green of the stones. We provided these, and that allowed her to confirm her initial desire for 18k rose gold.
Diamond Accents
There are six small round diamonds in this design as well, and they’re shared prong set in groups of three, with one group on either side of the three emeralds at the top. These diamonds weigh 0.04 carats all together, and they run in a line down each shank shoulder, bringing a striking contrast and glamorous flair to the piece despite their small size.
