Custom Emerald Cut Diamond And Black Ceramic Engagement Ring
Item #102308 $3,223 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Center Diamond
The diamond that sits atop this ring is a 1.40 carat emerald cut stone that the client provided. She really wanted a design that would highlight the stone, with a setting that was as minimal as possible while still being structurally sound. We went with a prong setting which holds the diamond securely, but is still open enough to allow the beauty of the stone to shine through from all angles. Diamond Engagement Rings
Accent Diamonds
Directly below the center of the main stone on each of the ring fronts is a bezel set grey diamond. These add a bit of sparkle to the ring when it’s viewed from the side, and they also add a delicate, classy touch to the design, and tie in a grey shade, which was what the client was going for from the beginning.
Ceramic Halo
In between the main diamond and they grey accent stones is a black ceramic halo that creates a stunning contrast with the sparkling white of the larger diamond. It has a smooth, polished finish, and it was achieved by dipping the piece in a plating solution to coat the metal.
When this client came to us, she was trying to find a way to get a ring made with this diamond but with a dark grey band. Although this wasn’t really an option, we went over various possibilities with her until we hit on this black halo idea. She fell in love with it, and it really turned into a one-of-a-kind piece.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
