Custom Hand Engraved Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #103242 $3,506 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
The clients asked us to take the diamonds from the rings that made up their existing wedding set and to integrate them into a new piece that we developed together. After our initial meeting, we posted sketches and CAD representations of the ring we’d come up with for them, and they asked for only minor modifications before giving their approval to turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production.
Center Setting
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.28 carat round brilliant cut diamond that we removed from the client’s original ring to reset in this one. It rests in a four prong setting made from 14k white gold that lifts it just slightly above the organic filigree designs on the shank shoulders. This positioning helps improve the flow of the ring overall, while at the same time keeping the diamond as the focus of the piece. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents
A small round diamond is bezel set in a curling piece that emerges from the filigree design on each shank shoulder, and both of these accents were taken from the client’s original ring as well. Right at the spot where the filigree stops, a larger round diamond is prong set on each side. These diamonds are nearly as wide as the band itself, and one was taken from the original ring while we sourced another one to match.
Hand Engraving and Milgrain
The top and fronts of the ring below the filigree are covered with elegant hand engraving in a floral scroll pattern. This ties in nicely with the filigree at the top, and it gives the piece a decidedly vintage flair that is only intensified by the milgrain beading that lines the engraving on every side.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
