He began the custom design process by reaching out to us online to share his vision for the piece. He had found a ring that he liked on our website, and he wanted to adjust it a bit until it perfectly matched what he was after. We helped him evaluate his options, and then we created highly-detailed CAD models of the piece, which he immediately approved to move into production. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Setting
The diamond at the center of this ring is two carats and round brilliant cut. The four double prongs holding it in place are platinum, and they curl up around the edges of the diamond, adding some lovely contours to the top of the ring. The entire center setting sits high up above the tapered shank, and this position places the diamond front and center no matter which angle the ring is viewed from. Solitaire Engagement Rings
Tsavorite Accents
Directly below the center stone on each ring front, a round tsavorite is bezel set in platinum. These vibrant green gems have a color similar to emeralds, but they shine much more brightly, which is why the client decided to go with them. The use of a colored gemstone in this position is one of the customizations the client made to the original design, as that piece had diamond accents instead.
Filigree and Engraving
The top and fronts of the band are covered with elegant hand engraving in an angular wheat pattern, and a beautiful scroll filigree fills the space beneath the shank shoulders as they rise up to meet the sides of the center setting. These types of details are completed by hand by our expert artisans, and that allows for the stunning level of detail seen here as well as the ability to customize them to reflect something of personal significance to you. Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
