Custom Two-tone Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring

Center Setting
The 1.01 carat princess cut diamond at the center of this ring sits in a four prong setting that rises directly up from the white gold inlay in the band. The prongs are wide and squared, which helps highlight the clean lines and beautiful angles of the diamond, and the sparkling white color of the metal only intensifies the stone’s brilliant fire. Two-tone Band
The band itself is made of 18k yellow gold, with an 18k white gold inlay running all the way around in the middle. The yellow gold rails are quite narrow when compared to the center section, and this allows them to serve as a frame for the white gold while adding a lovely warmth and dramatic contrast. This is the same arrangement as is found in the matching men’s band that we designed at the same time, and it makes it clear that the two pieces were meant to be a set. Matching Wedding Sets
Hand Engraving and Milgrain
A wonderful swirling scroll pattern is hand engraved in the center section of this ring, with the yellow gold rails featuring a complementary design modified to fit in the space available. The engraving matches the men’s band also, and it brings a decidedly vintage flair to the set. This is only enhanced by the inclusion of milgrain beading, which extends all the way around the band on the margins of the white gold section as well as on the edges of the ring itself.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
