You can begin the custom design process by visiting our Bellevue, WA or Seattle, WA showroom in person, or by contacting us through our website. We’ll take the information you give us about the type of ring you’re looking for, and we’ll use it to develop an original design for you in CAD. You can view this and request modifications to it any time, and we won’t put anything into production until we’ve received your explicit approval to do so.
Diamond Solitaire
At the top of this ring, a one-carat round brilliant cut diamond is perched in a four-prong setting made of 18k white gold. The diamond is the only one in the ring, which is what makes this a solitaire design, and it’s framed beautifully by the prongs as well as by the shoulders of the ornate, organically-styled shank.
The prongs holding the center stone rise up from the same point directly below the center, and they’re connected by a gallery rail to provide structural stability along with a satisfying balance. On each ring front, a pattern of leaves covers the lower portion of the main setting, and a rose is perched right at the center of this, all but obscuring the gallery rail and bringing a decidedly floral feel to the piece. Organic Band Design
On the top surface of the band, this organic style continues, with leaves overlapping each other on their way up to meet the side of the center setting. The band itself is made of two separate strands that run side-by-side across the bottom before following divergent and crisscrossing paths up to the top of the ring. That detail only adds to the delicate and floral feel of piece, and you can modify any of these elements as you work through the custom design process.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
