Platinum And 14K Gold Two-tone Ruby And Diamond Vintage-inspired Engagement Ring
Item #105312Engagement Ring Description
The client wanted to incorporate rubies into the original design as well as a two-tone look. Our expert designers put together a few mockups, and after the client approved, we created CAD designs and eventually brought the ring to life. The Joseph Jewelry team also put together several wedding ring options to complete the wedding set as well as a matching two-tone men's band. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Diamond
The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.50 carat round brilliant cut diamond. It is held in place by four rose gold prongs that gracefully merge as they meet the band. Along each shoulder, there are three flush set diamonds surrounded by custom hand engraving. Moving down from there, the hand engraving is continued. Diamond Engagement Rings
Vintage Aesthetic
The hand engraving on rose gold is a major part of the vintage look for this ring. Another vintage element is the intricate platinum filigree nestled under the top third of the ring. Each top and profile section is framed by varying styles of milgrain. Finally, both fronts of the ring have bezel-set rubies set on the north, west, and east points. The south point does not have a ruby, but instead of a rounded bottom, the ring is pointed, which provides extra balance to the ring on the wearer's finger. Vintage Engagement Rings
Customization
First, you could choose a different gemstone or color to set on the fronts of the ring. This design would look lovely with more diamond accents, or maybe an oval center stone. No matter what you choose to customize, our team is ready to help.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
