Platinum Custom Contemporary Diamond Engagement Ring

Center Setting
The main setting of this ring rises up from a point on the inner margin of the band, and it opens a space fully between the two shank shoulders as it does so. This leaves a clear view through the center setting from both ring fronts, and the prongs emerge from the top of the band to cradle the one carat round diamond that is the centerpiece of this ring. Diamond Accents and Band Design
The band is widest right where it meets the center setting, and it tapers smoothly down each side, eventually reaching its narrowest point across the bottom. It’s also thickest at the top, although tapering down in this direction happens more quickly than it does for the width of the top of the band.
On each side of the center, there are six sections of pave set diamond accents that wrap around from the middle of the top across the ring fronts. These sections alternate sides on the way down, and they get progressively smaller moving away from the center due to the narrowing of the band. Diamond Engagement Rings
Customizing Your Piece
There are quite a few ways to modify a ring like this during the customization process. For starters, you could use a princess or radiant cut diamond in the center to accentuate the clean lines found in the pattern on the band. Or you could work in some different colored gemstones in the accent positions. Sapphires are particularly popular for use in this type of ring, and they come in many different shades.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
