Half Bezel Setting
The round brilliant cut diamond in the center of this ring is beautifully displayed in the half bezel setting that cradles it on either side. This leaves the top and bottom open to light, and it provides a clear view of the diamond from both ring fronts. That arrangement keeps the profile of the ring relatively low, and it also helps highlight the perfect shape of the stone at the center. Diamond Engagement Rings
This diamond is the only gemstone in the ring, making it a solitaire design. That is one of the more traditional choices when it comes to engagement rings, but as you can see, there are many ways to incorporate different features and styles into a solitaire piece to help you get exactly the look you’re after. Knife Edge Shank
The flat, nearly-straight sides of the bezel setting smoothly blend into the knife edge shank below. This band is widest and thickest at the top, and it narrows very slightly in both directions on the way down the sides. The knife edge design features a crest in the middle of the shank, with sides that slant down towards the finger on either side. The crest in this particular piece is not terribly sharp, but it still adds the dramatic and contemporary flair that is the hallmark of the knife edge design.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
