Platinum Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #104120 $3,374 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Six-Prong Setting
At the top of this ring, a one-carat round brilliant cut diamond is held in place by six prongs made from 18k white gold. Two of the prongs meet the diamond at its north and south points, while the other four sit in pairs evenly distributed on either side of the band. This gives the center setting a somewhat floral feel, and it adds a subtle contrast to the perfectly round shape of the center stone. Diamond Engagement Rings
Because there is only one gemstone in this ring, it’s considered a solitaire design, and that has long been a popular choice for engagement rings. However, just because you’re choosing a traditional style doesn’t mean you can’t also integrate some personal and unique touches, and this piece is an excellent example of that.
Band Design
The band is straight and slightly domed all the way around. It rises up close to the top to meet the sides of the center setting slightly below the tips of the prongs, while on the inner margin, a piece splits off and continues along the original curvature of the band so that it passes directly below the center. This bridge piece serves as the base for the center setting itself, and its presence also creates a triangular space below each shank shoulder that is filled with a loop of custom filigree. Unique Engagement Rings
The four main prongs of the center setting all arise from the same point right in the middle of the bridge piece, while the two that cradle the top and bottom of the stone emerge from branching strands that connect to both prongs on each ring front. This creates a diamond-shaped space directly below the center diamond as well as an elegant, organic feel for the setting as a whole, and it’s just one detail that can be modified to make it better match your vision for the ideal ring.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
