You can begin the custom design process by visiting our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, or you can reach out to us online. We work with clients from all over the country and around the world, and so we are capable of completing a custom design project entirely online. For each custom project we take on, we produce highly-detailed CAD models of the piece as we propose to make it, and you can modify these as much as you’d like until you’re totally satisfied that we’ve captured your vision perfectly. Center Setting
In the center of this ring, a one carat princess cut diamond rises up from the wide, straight shank below. The bezel setting framing this gorgeous stone hugs its edges and corners precisely, helping to highlight the diamond’s perfect shape. It’s open on the sides, however, a detail which adds to the intricacy of the ring while also ensuring that plenty of light can reach the center stone. Princess Cut Engagement Rings
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Round bright cut set diamonds line both ring fronts from the sides of the center setting all the way down to the mid-point on each side. This same section on the top of the ring is composed of a recessed center section that holds four pear shaped, bezel set accent diamonds on each side of the main setting. These pear shaped diamonds are lined up end to end in an alternating pattern, producing a subtle yet elegant complement to the openings in the sides of the center setting.
Double rows of milgrain beading line the top edges of the band down to the mid-point, and single lines run along the inner margin of the band. These frame the accent diamonds perfectly, and they provide a satisfying finishing touch to this dazzling contemporary piece.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
