We worked with her online, over the phone, and in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom to finalize the details of her design and make sure the piece we created was exactly what she was looking for in every respect.
Center Tourmaline
The main stone in this ring is an 11.25 carat light green tourmaline that was specialty cut by an award winning gem cutter to show off its unique beauty. It was a stone that the client had fallen in love with, and she asked us to build the perfect ring to highlight it. It’s held in place by 12 18k yellow gold prongs that perfectly frame it, and the color of the metal contrasts nicely with the lovely green color of the stone.
Diamond Accents
The center setting is surrounded by a halo of split prong set diamonds, whose sparkling white stands out against the warmth of the yellow gold shank. The diamonds also add another layer of contrast with the lovely green of the tourmaline, and their halo configuration allows them to reflect additional light back up onto the center stone to help intensify its sparkle.
The split prong set diamonds are not confined to the halo, however, as they’re also found lining the shoulders of the shank. In fact, they run all the way to the mid-point on the band, adding sparkle while also contributing to the piece’s vintage flair.
Split Shank
Right at the point where the diamonds begin, the shank separates into two strands that gradually diverge as they transition into the center setting. The main portion of these strands, and the diamonds they hold, continue all the way up to meet the halo, while a smaller segment breaks off from the underside of each to integrate into the basket below the stone. This is made with custom heart filigree that was hand-formed by our expert artisans and that adds another layer of depth and complexity to the design. Design Your Own Ring
