Description
This elegant women’s fashion ring features a specialty cut green tourmaline surrounded by a diamond halo, with additional diamond accents on the yellow gold band. It was created for a client from Bellevue, WA, who worked closely with our team in-store to make sure we exactly captured her vision for the piece.

Center Stone and Halo
This ring is built around a stunning 19.90 carat green tourmaline, which is cradled beautifully by 12 18k yellow gold prongs. It sits in the center of a split prong set diamond halo that mirrors the contours of its slightly angular oval shape beautifully. The halo also adds wonderful contrast to the design, and the extra light the diamonds reflect back up onto the tourmaline help to increase its beautiful shine.
Below the center setting, an ornate basket made of overlapping strands of curved yellow gold filigree surrounds the lower part of the tourmaline and aids in the transition to the shank. This brings a delicate and whimsical feeling to the piece, which helps to balance out the other design elements to create a unified whole. Diamond Accents and Band Design
A small baguette shaped diamond is tension set lengthwise on each side of the center setting, right where it meets the band. Below this, split prong set diamonds run down the shank shoulders to the mid-way point, and these create a link with the diamond halo, adding sparkle and some antique flair.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
