This stunning women’s anniversary ring features a custom-cut red cabochon spinel set in a split shank with diamond accents. It was created as a custom piece for a client from Bellevue, WA, who purchased the center stone at one of our gemstone parties, and then wanted to create the perfect piece to highlight its beauty.

Custom-cut Spinel
The spinel at the center of this design displays a lovely red color, with a smooth, almost domed specialty cut. It is set in a split shank, the branches of which are 14k white gold and come up flush with the stone on either side.
Spinel is a rare and elegant stone with a long history, as it was often mistaken for the better-known ruby. It comes in many different colors as well, and it’s an excellent choice for inclusion in all kinds of custom jewelry. Design Your Own Ring
Two-tone Band
While the main portion of the band in this ring is 14k white gold, the space between the two sides of the split shank is filled with lovely 14k rose gold filigree. This two-tone look complements the color of the center stone nicely, while also making the ring easier to accessorize with a variety of colors and styles.
Diamond Accents
Pave set diamonds cover the white gold portions of the shank, adding unparalleled sparkle and a distinct touch of glamour to the piece. There are also bezel set diamonds incorporated into the hand-made filigree, making for a genuinely exquisite ring, no matter which way you look at it.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care
- Lifetime warrantyYour custom piece is covered against manufacturing defects.
- Inspection every six monthsOur jewelers inspect your piece and provide ongoing care for the custom jewelry we make for you.
- Complimentary cleaningVisit us every six months for a complimentary cleaning.
Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
