Fashion Ring Description

This stunning women’s fashion ring features an emerald cut emerald double prong set in platinum, with two smaller emeralds double prong set on the sides. It was created for a client from Mercer Island, WA, who had three beautiful gems that she wanted us to create the perfect setting for. We communicated with her and her husband online, over the phone, and in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom throughout the custom design process, and she was very happy with the way the piece turned out.

Three-stone Setting

At the top of this ring, an emerald cut, 3.82 carat emerald is displayed beautifully in a double claw prong setting. The way the prongs curl up to wrap around the corners of this beautiful green stone help to accentuate the strong lines of the cut, and the brilliant white of the platinum creates a lovely contrast that highlights the emerald’s rich green color.

The side stones that complete the three-stone setting in this piece are also emerald cut emeralds double prong set in platinum, and they’re tucked just below the larger stone at the top. They’re angled down significantly, however, and this positioning allows them to shine through beautifully when the piece is viewed from the side while also easing the transition into the band below. Band Design

The client was quite concerned that the emeralds sit as low as possible on her finger, as her hands are small and the center stone in particular is quite large. We designed this setting to meet these specifications, and the graceful, elegant lines this resulted in for the band help keep the focus solidly on the beautiful gemstones in the process.

To do this, we created a rounded band that splits just above the mid-point, and following this split, the two strands on each side extend out, forming a Y shape as they transition up into the prongs that hold the main emerald. The two side emeralds sit in the top of this space, leaving a small open triangle below them, which only reinforces the elegance and simplicity of the design.
