Custom Men's Mokume And Diamond Wedding Band
Item #102157Men's Wedding Band Description
Mokume Gane
The mokume gane technique originated in Japan in the 1700s, and it requires a skilled artisan to execute. It involves layering sheets of different metals and then forging them together to create patterns reminiscent of wood grain. Because of this special forging process, no two mokume gane pieces will have exactly the same pattern, and when it’s included in your ring, you can be sure you have a completely unique piece.
The mokume gane in this ring is made up of 14k rose gold, palladium, and sterling silver, and it runs down the center of the the ring all the way around.
Additional Metals
The outer edges of this piece are composed of platinum rails with a polished finish, flanked on the inside by a rose gold wire inlay. This inlay serves to separate the outer edges from the Mokume at the center of the piece, and it also works to tie all of the various aspects of the ring together. The polished finish of the rails and inlay contrast nicely with the sandblasted finish of the Mokume to further enhance the woodgrain effect of that particular element.
Diamonds
In addition to gorgeous metalwork, this ring also includes some eye-catching diamonds that lend their timeless beauty to this unique design. The diamonds are round brilliant cut, and they are channel set along the fronts of the band so they can be seen from all sides.
One of the most striking things about this ring design is the way it brings so many diverse elements together into a single finished piece. The overall effect is one of classical elegance, and it’s a great choice for a wedding band. You can order it as is, or you can work with one of our designers to add your own unique twist to this handsome ring.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
