Platinum And 14K Gold Custom Diamond Mokume Wedding Band
Item #102201Men's Wedding Band Description
Mokume Inlay
The mokume gane inlay used in this ring is made up of a combination of 14k white gold, palladium, and sterling silver. It is created by layering these metals and then forging them to create the organic patterns seen here. This technique was originally developed in Japan hundreds of years ago, and our artisans have the requisite experience to execute it to perfection.
Due to the nature of the mokume forging process, no two pieces made using this technique will ever come out exactly the same. However, since we made all three rings in this set at the same time and with the same batch of mokume, they all have very similar coloration and patterns.
Flush Set Diamond
The diamond in this ring is a flush set princess cut, and it adds just enough sparkle to the piece, while also mirroring the diamonds in the matching women’s engagement ring. Diamonds are a great addition to any wedding ring, as they’ve traditionally symbolized love, purity, and romance.
Custom Wedding Sets
If you’d like all of the rings in your wedding set to match, the best thing to do is to have them all made at once. This ensures that every detail, whether it’s mokume inlay, hand-made filigree, or hand engraving, matches perfectly. Our designers are here to assist you in any way we can, and we’re always glad to incorporate your feedback into our next round of designs to make sure you get exactly the rings you’ve been imagining.
And thanks to our state-of-the-art technological tools, we can complete custom designs for you whether you can come visit us in our Bellevue, WA showroom or not. Because the client we designed these particular rings for was located so far away, we worked extensively online with her, creating multiple 3D images and then finally shipping out wax molds of her designs to help her see exactly what the rings would look like when completed.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
