Platinum And 14k Yellow Gold Custom Two-tone Men's Wedding Band
Item #103290 $9,904Men's Wedding Band Description
Band Design
This band is 8mm wide and 2mm thick. It’s made primarily from 14k white gold, and the top surface is slightly domed, giving it a subtle classical flair. A narrow inlay of 14k yellow gold splits the top of the band in half all the way around, and the surface of the inlay is concave, giving it a gentle inward curve. This gives the surface of the ring a unique and distinctive shape, and it helps to highlight the contrast between the two sections. Men’s Custom Wedding Bands
Contrasting Finishes
The top of the ring, with the exception of the yellow gold inlay, is brushed to generate a soft matte surface. The inlay and the fronts of the ring are polished, however, creating a contrast that makes even more clear the discrete elements that combine to create this piece.
Customization Options
Using contrasting finishes in this way is a great option if you want to give your design some subtle complexity, and there are several other finish combinations you may want to consider. For example, you could use a sandblasted finish on the white gold for a slightly grainier matte texture. Or you could switch the placement of the finishes by brushing the yellow gold and polishing the white.
Other customization options include switching the positions of the metals themselves, or using rose rather than yellow gold for the inlay. The latter is especially appropriate if your partner’s rings include rose gold, and it’s also possible to flush set a small gemstone, either on the inside or outside of the band if you want to create a more personal connection with the women’s rings that make up the rest of your wedding set.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
