Two-tone Band
The center band of this ring is made from unplated 14k white gold, which has a faint yellowish tint to it. That contrasts just enough with the brighter white of the palladium outer rails to create a stylish, two-tone look.
To emphasize this contrast, the inner band has a polished finish, while the palladium rails are brushed. Thin grooves run along each side of the white gold band as well, and this makes the distinction between the two types of metal clearer while also giving the ring an additional layer of complexity.
Sapphire Accent
The center band is broken only once, by a flush set princess cut purple sapphire that is nearly the same width as the band itself. It introduces wonderful color to the piece, and it also helps to tie this ring in with the others in the set.
