Center Emerald
At the heart of this piece is a 4.71 carat Asscher cut emerald. It’s prong set, and the way the flattened prongs curve up over the clipped corners of the stone help accentuate the details of the cut.
The emerald represents the highest point in the pendant as well, as the point at the back of the stone is flush with the main body of the pendant. The surrounding filigree curves up to meet it in certain areas, giving the piece a slightly domed shape that perfectly complements its intricate framework.
Custom Filigree
The perimeter of the pendant is in the shape of a circle, and the interior is filled with a combination of filigree patterns that wind their way in until they reach the emerald in the center. The outer frame features a more flowing design made up of two strands that curve in and out, crossing back over each other at regular intervals all the way around. On the inside, the lines are straighter, but they curve upward from the base to intersect at the corners of the emerald, thereby uniting the design.
Diamond Accents
As a finishing touch, eight small round diamonds are bezel set within the outer frame in an alternating pattern. They’re nestled inside every other opening created between the two intertwining strands, and a single round diamond is bezel set in the middle of the bale, which sits right at the top of the piece.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
