Our experts can discuss your ideas with you in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom or through our website. We’ll take the information we acquire from that conversation and use it to create a set of CAD proofs of the piece we propose to make for you, and you can request any modifications to these you’d like. Only once you’re completely satisfied that every detail is perfect will we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production.
Blue Sapphire Center
The main gemstone in this piece is a 1.77 carat cushion cut blue sapphire. Its rich color is highlighted by the metal it's set in, and the four prongs of this main setting meet the stone at each of its rounded corners. The softly squared shape of the stone contrasts nicely with the angular nature of the body of the pendant, adding another layer of intricacy to the design.
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
A stylized halo of round bright cut set diamonds surrounds the center sapphire, and it features eight points connected by concave sections that give the pendant overall a star-like quality. There are 24 diamonds in all, and they total 0.15 carats combined. Milgrain beading lines both the inner and outer margins of the halo, adding to the vintage overtones of the design. Pendants
The pendant connects to the chain through loops of metal that emerge from two of the points close to the top of the piece. These points are two segments apart, giving the piece a nice balance and centering it on the chain without introducing the visual distraction of a bale.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
