14k White Gold Custom Ruby And Diamond Pendant
Item #102523Pendant Description
Center Ruby
The central gemstone in this piece is an oval ruby that the client provided. His wish was that we make a new and special setting to display the stone and highlight its stunning beauty. We developed this piece to do just that, and he was very happy with the way it turned out.
The large ruby is prong set and its rich red color contrasts beautifully with the warm tones of the metal. This combination also works with other elements of the design to reinforce the classical themes the client was interested in exploring, and it helps keep the ruby as the focus of the piece.
Pendant Design
An oval halo of round split prong set diamonds surrounds the ruby in this piece. There are 42 diamonds in all, and the brilliant white sparkle they bring to the design helps to draw attention to the beauty of the large red gem at the center. The split prong setting also helps enhance the classical themes of the design.
The back portion of the pendant has solid sides, which angle back in towards the point of the ruby. This ensures that only the gemstones are visible when the pendant is worn, and it protects the back of the stone at the same time. There is also a loop of metal on either side of the pendant, located just adjacent to the top prongs of the main setting, and these attach directly to the chain to keep the pendant centered.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
