Marquise Center
The diamond at the center of this piece is 0.48 carats and marquise cut. It hangs with its points straight up and down, giving the pendant an elegant outline, as the body also echoes the lines of the stone itself. The bezel setting holding the diamond accentuates its lovely shape, and the metal it’s made from complements the brilliant white of the diamond nicely, helping to increase its sparkle and shine.
Diamond Halo and Milgrain
A contoured halo of round bright cut set diamonds surrounds the center marquise, and the diamonds that make it up vary in size in order to fit in the space available. Although the halo itself is the same width all the way around, lines of milgrain beading curl through it, dividing it into smaller sections and adding a lovely, ornate aspect to the design.Pendants
Filigree Basket
The basket that encloses the back of the pendant is made from custom hand-made filigree in a pattern that complements the milgrain in the halo. This brings a nice balance to the piece, and it provides an elegant outline for the structure of the piece.
The chain passes straight through a space in the filigree at the top of the basket, making a separate bale unnecessary and keeping the focus on the pendant itself. This also allows the piece to move freely on the chain, and it ensures that the pendant will always hang straight up and down when worn.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
