Center Amethyst
The centerpiece of this design is a 0.30 carat flush set round amethyst. The wonderful purple color of the stone contrasts beautifully with the silvery shine of the metal, and its modest size does not diminish the dramatic visual effect produced. The pendant also draws its shape from the stone, helping to highlight its perfect curves at the same time.
Diamond Halo and Accents
Surrounding the center amethyst is a halo of small round diamonds, all of which are split prong set. These add to the contrast between the amethyst and the metal, and they also bring their own glamorous sparkle along with some classical overtones to the design.
The diamonds in the halo are echoed in the size and setting style used as accents running up the bale. These are arranged in a straight line, and they fill the space on the front of the bale, helping to unify the piece. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
