This custom pendant was built around the special cut citrine center stone, and the elegant setting used really works to highlight the stone’s natural beauty. Our client wanted to surprise his lovely wife, and we were able to perfect the design and get it to him right on time.

Citrine Center
The citrine at the center of this pendant is a 10.13 carat stone with a special rectangular cut and a rich orange color. The client purchased the stone separately at one of our holiday gemstone parties where we feature unique pieces from an award-winning gem cutter. He then found a design he liked for the setting and worked closely with our team to customize it perfectly.
Pendant Design
The stone in this pendant is held securely in a double prong setting. In order to ensure the security of the stone, we added extra support in the back but managed to keep the appearance of the stone being suspended when viewed from the front, which was something the client especially liked.
We were able to get this detail just right thanks to the 3D imaging technology we use for all custom projects. Through this program, we created a design that the client could view and tweak as much as he wanted before we put the pendant into production. Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care
- Lifetime warrantyYour custom piece is covered against manufacturing defects.
- Inspection every six monthsOur jewelers inspect your piece and provide ongoing care for the custom jewelry we make for you.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
