Description
This elegant necklace features gold beads that are bright cut set with rows of diamonds wrapping all the way around and accented with milgrain. It was created as a custom order for a client from Mercer Island, WA, who wanted us to use the diamonds from one of her old pieces and design something new and stunning.

We worked with her both online and onsite in our Bellevue, WA showroom to iron out the details of her piece. She was particularly concerned that the scale and spacing of the beads be perfect, and we adjusted things accordingly until they met our client's expectations.
Gold Beads
The beads themselves were fabricated individually, and then assembled along with the chain, which is a highly technical and labor intensive process. They’re attached in such a way that they each spins on its own, so there is no front or back to the piece, but it generates a sense continuous motion.
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Each bead includes a twisting row of small, round bright cut set diamonds that wraps all the way around, starting at the top and working its way to the bottom in two twists. The rows of diamonds are all lined with a delicate milgrain beading as well, which gives the piece a bit of vintage flair, and the added texture helps to give the bead design an extra layer of depth.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

- Inspection every six monthsOur jewelers inspect your piece and provide ongoing care for the custom jewelry we make for you.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
