Pendant Description

This stunning pendant features two Tahitian pearls set in a stylized heart design, with bright cut set diamond accents on the white gold strands. It was created for a client from Bellevue, WA, who initially reached out to us online to have a special Christmas present made for his girlfriend. In order to get the pendant done in time for Christmas, he visited our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to go over the details of his piece, and once he was satisfied with our CAD model, he gave his approval to move into production. Tahitian Pearls

Tahitian pearls are also commonly referred to as black pearls, and the two used in this piece display a lovely and varied color scheme. Their rich, dark surface exhibits hints of everything from yellow to green to a brownish-red, which helps them form the center of a truly unique piece.

They’re wrapped in the upper curves of the heart shape created by the two strands of the pendant. This heart shape sits at an angle so that one pearl is lower than and to the side of the other, and this arrangement works well to complement to stylized design of the piece.

Diamond Accents

The two strands of white gold that make up the heart shape holding the pearls are lined with bright cut set diamond accents all the way across their top surfaces. These sparkling diamonds provide the perfect counterpoint to the rich, slightly matte surface of the pearls, and their juxtaposition helps to highlight the beauty of both.

The diamonds also add some glamour to the piece, as well as overtones of romantic love. The setting style is a classic choice, and if you wanted to take this further, you could add some milgrain beading to frame the diamonds on either side. The use of a different color metal for the body of the pendant would also reinforce the vintage overtones already present, making this a good option to consider if that’s the look you’re going for.
