Carved Pearl
The main body of this pendant is made up of a 10mm white freshwater pearl that’s been carved into the shape of a lotus flower. The petal detailing is exquisite, and it continues all the way around to the back of the pearl as well.
The chain that holds the pendant passes directly through the top of the pearl, leaving the focus entirely on the pearl itself by eliminating the need for a separate bale.
Blue Sapphire Center
A round blue sapphire is set in the center of the lotus flower, and this stone stands out despite its small size thanks to the dramatic color contrast it produces and to the metal beads surrounding it.
The rich color of the sapphire also adds to the organic overtones of the design. The interplay of color and light, as its reflected by the stone and also by the textured surface of the pearl, are hallmarks of pieces by this designer, and they demonstrate the way these pieces continually push the creative limits of fine jewelry design.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
