Joseph Jewelry has been a long-time partner with Galatea, and we are proud to carry these unique pieces that continually push the traditional limits of jewelry design. They accomplish this through various combinations of gemstones set in ways that take advantage of natural light and reflection to produce unexpected visual displays.
Center Setting
At the center of this piece, a small round diamond with the entire setting sits atop a column of pink opal that’s anchored in the center of a bowl-shaped pendant body. The polished, concave surface reflects the swirling colors of the opal, creating a dazzling display of pink and yellow across the entire body of the pendant when the piece is viewed straight on from the front. Pendant Design and Diamond Accents
A strip of metal begins in the middle of the left side of the pendant, and it curves down, following the contours of the pendant body, before coming back up the opposite side. Once this rim reaches the top of the circle where the bale attaches, it curves more dramatically inward towards the center setting, creating a dynamic spiral design across the front of the piece. This metal rim is also lined with bright cut set diamond accents most of the way around, and these tie in nicely with the diamond in the center to produce a truly glamorous look. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
