Amethyst And Diamond Pendant

Amethyst Center and Milgrain Beading
The main focus of this piece is a 7mm cushion cut bezel set amethyst. The bezel setting follows the contours of the stone closely, with only slight deviations in the middle of each side where it curves outward to form small points. This comprises the main body of the pendant, and it connects to the bale through a loop that emerges from behind the topmost point, allowing it to hang with each of the points at the compass positions.
A double row of milgrain beading lines the top of the bezel setting, helping to highlight its elegant contours while simultaneously providing a healthy dose of vintage flair. It’s a detail that also continues up onto the bezel setting of the round diamond at the base of the bale, and that continuity helps to unite the two areas of the piece. Pendants
Diamond Accents and Filigree Basket
In counterpoint to the rich purple color of the large amethyst below, the gemstones on the bale are all brilliant white diamonds. One slightly larger than the rest is bezel set just above the main body of the pendant, and the remaining stones are split prong set on the marquise shaped front of the bale. These bring a dazzling sparkle to the piece, adding some glamour while also highlighting the gorgeous color of the larger stone.
Behind the amethyst, a filigree basket provides protection while still allowing in plenty of light. This combines with the milgrain beading surrounding some of the gemstones above to bring a decidedly vintage feel to the piece.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
