Platinum And 18K Gold Custom Fire And Ice Pendant
Item #1161Pendant Description
If you’re interested in customizing this piece, we can discuss your ideas with you in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom or through the online workroom we set up to manage your project. Our expert designers will make suggestions and modify our models until you’re sure we’ve captured your vision, and only then will we turn things over to our skilled artisans to begin production.
Ruby Center and Yellow Gold
In the center of this pendant, a two carat round red sapphire is bezel set in 14k yellow gold. The rich red of the sapphire gives energy to the six yellow gold flames that extend out from this center setting, imbuing them with the spirit of fire that makes up one half of the dynamic relationship explored in the design. Circle and Diamond Accents
The outer margin of the pendant is made up of sleek metal. Six icicle shapes extend from the inner surface of this circle, continuing all the way in to connect with the center bezel setting in between each of the yellow gold flames.
Each icicle begins as three small strands that come together and then continue on as one to the center. At the spot where they join together, a round white diamond is bright cut set, providing the icy brilliance to balance out the center sapphire perfectly.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
