Blue Topaz Center
This piece centers on a 18.74 carat custom cut blue topaz, which exhibits a range of blue shades depending on the angle it’s viewed from. It’s held in place by a unique setting that overlaps the front surface of the stone at the top and bottom. The topaz has a generally oval shape, and it’s oriented to extend lengthwise down the body of the pendant, giving the design a satisfying balance.
Pendant Design and Diamond Accents
The strands that form the sides of the main setting begin at a point at the top of the piece, moving away from each other to wrap around the topaz before coming back together at the very bottom of the pendant. On the way, they curve gently around the center stone, helping to highlight its elegant shape. Pendants
These strands, as well as those that extend in over the stone at the top and bottom, are lined with small, round bright cut set diamonds. These add a dazzling sparkle as well as a nice contrast with the striking color of the center stone. There are 135 accent diamonds in total, and they combine to weight 1.15 carats. 100% Satisfaction
Filigree Back
On the back of the pendant, an ornate filigree design fills the space behind the stone, bringing a somewhat organic aesthetic to the piece. Although it’s not a part of the design that will often be seen when the pendant is worn, it contributes to the overall balance and themes of the design, and it’s a part of what makes this piece so elegantly unique.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
