Blue Topaz Center and Diamond Halo
At the heart of this piece is a 3.50 carat oval blue topaz with a tantalizing blue color that’s cradled securely in a four prong setting. The stone is oriented to hang lengthwise, giving the pendant as a whole an elongated shape and satisfying balance.
Surrounding this topaz is a halo of split prong set diamonds, and these add a glamorous sparkle as well as a classical touch. The halo style has a long history in many types of jewelry, and one benefit of it is that the small diamonds reflect extra light up onto the larger stone, helping to increase its brilliance.
Pendant Design and Diamond Accents
Above the main portion of the pendant, a circle of metal attaches to the top of the main setting, and this is lined with split prong set diamonds as well. Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
