Facet Split Prong Set Diamonds
On the top of this band, a line of round diamonds are facet split prong set in 18k white gold. These diamonds combine to total 0.33 carats, and they run from about one-third down one side of the band to the same spot on the other. They’re also just about as wide as the band, a relationship that helps them remain the clear focus of the design and adds to the delicate appearance of the piece.
This dynamic is only intensified by the split prong setting that minimizes the appearance of metal around the stones when the ring is viewed from the top down. On the ring fronts, the sides of each setting are open, forming a series of U shapes that allow plenty of light in to reach the diamonds, helping to increase their shine. Band Design
Once the line of diamonds ends, the band is smooth and polished the rest of the way around. The top surface is flat, as are the ring fronts, and the soft corners between those two areas add to the classical elegance of the piece.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
