Eternity Band Design

Eternity bands have long been a popular choice for wedding and engagement rings due to the sense of unending love and an unbroken bond that they bring with them. The way the diamonds in this piece continue all the way around the ring makes it an eternity design, and it also provides an example of one of the many ways this type of symbolism can be incorporated into a unique piece.

Bezel Set Diamonds and Milgrain Beading

There are nine round and nine baguette diamonds in this ring, all of which are bezel set in 18k yellow gold. The total carat weight of the round diamonds is 0.08, while the baguette diamonds combine to weigh 0.38 carats. Their divergent sizes allow them to balance each other nicely, however, as the baguette and round sections of the ring both have the same width.

The arrangement of the stones in an alternating pattern that has them line up end to end gives the ring a nuanced margin, with long, flat sections interspersed with the perfect curves of the bezel settings holding the round stones. The tops of the bezel settings are also lined with milgrain beading, a detail that works to enhance the vintage overtones already present in the design.
