Channel Set Diamonds
The top of this ring holds the diamonds we reset from the client’s original wedding ring in a slightly concave channel setting. The shape of the setting causes the top of the ring to come up at the corners to give it a decidedly square and dramatic look. These diamonds obviously had special significance for the client, and one way to customize this piece would be to include stones here that hold particular meaning for you.
Rose Gold Filigree
To give the design a more vintage feel, we included some lovely rose gold filigree. This is tucked into the ring at the top and bottom, and it also runs down the shoulders of the shank. It contrasts nicely with the sparkle of the diamonds as well as the brilliant silver color of the platinum band, and to help tie this element into the rest of the design, there are several bezel set diamonds worked strategically into the filigree.
Diamond Pave
Running along both sides of the main channel setting are rows of edgeless pave set accent diamonds. This adds to the overall elegance of the ring, and it also helps intensify the sparkle of the larger stones.
The edgeless pave setting draws its name from the fact that the two rows of diamonds that make it up are set at 90 degree angles from each other with no metal showing in between. It is an extremely difficult setting to execute properly, and our skilled artisans have mastered the technique through years of practice.
