This band is made of 14k rose gold, and its scalloped margins are the result of the stringing together of multiple marquise-shaped sections. The delicate design this creates gives the piece a lovely vintage quality, and the warm tones of the rose gold only help to accentuate this.
The men’s wedding ring we made for this couple did not share the same type of shape, but we did cast it at the same time from the same batch of rose gold. In all, 30 small round diamonds are bright cut set in this ring, with three tucked into each marquise-shaped section. The continuous pattern all the way around the band makes this an eternity design, and grouping the diamonds together helps accentuate the contrast of their brilliant white with the metal surrounding them. Customization Options
If you’d like to customize this ring, there are many elements to consider. For instance, you could choose to use a single marquise shaped diamond bezel set within each marquise section, rather than the round diamonds. Or you could use a different type of gemstone all together. Pink diamonds or sapphires would bring an added romantic overtone to the piece, and blue sapphires are a popular choice for use in engagement and wedding rings as well.
Adding milgrain around the diamonds and custom hand engraving on the ring fronts would push the vintage themes that much further if that’s the look you’re going for. Or you could switch to white gold or platinum for a more contemporary feel.
