Custom Black And White Diamond Wedding Band
Item #104030 $4,634Women's Wedding Ring Description
Black and White Diamonds
The princess cut diamonds continue all the way around this ring, and they number 40 in all, with 20 white diamonds and 20 black diamonds. The black diamonds combine to total 0.72 carats, while the white diamonds all together weigh 0.41 carats. They are all channel set in 14k white gold, allowing them to sit flush with both the sides of the setting and each other.
The original ring the client asked to customize had diamonds only across the top half of the band. Because he was worried about the ring spinning when the two pieces were worn together, causing the stones to be hidden from view, he decided to go with the full eternity band with the gemstones in an unbroken line all the way around. Black Rhodium Plating
Both this band and the matching engagement ring are made of 14k white gold with black rhodium plating, which is what gives them their steely grey color. This tone complements the mix of black and white diamonds nicely, adding an extra layer of contrast to the design and creating a truly unique look.
Matching Wedding Sets
The client was interested in an interlocking wedding set in which each piece could be worn on its own as well as in combination with the other. To accomplish this, we combined elements from several different inspiration pieces, and we also modified our digital models based on his feedback until we had every detail perfect.
Particularly if you’re interested in a set like this, it’s a good idea to have both rings made at the same time. That ensures that they’re perfectly shaped to fit seamlessly together when worn, and it also allows us to address any design complications that may arise before anything has been cast in metal.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
