Tension Set Diamonds
The diamonds in this ring are all round and tension set in 14k white gold. They vary somewhat in size in order to fit within the space available, as they’re integrated into the pattern of the filigree that runs across the top half of the band. Filigree and Milgrain
The filigree pattern that the diamonds are set in is made up of several strands that flow in a wave-like pattern across the top of the ring. These waves each curve in opposite directions to those on either side of them, leading them to meet at the peak of a curve and then move away from each other again. That movement creates the openings for the diamonds, and the strands are each lined with milgrain beading to highlight their flowing pattern.
Band Design and Customization Options
The band tapers moving down each side, with the widest point at the top and the narrowest at the bottom. The tapering continues even after the filigree section ends at the mid-point on each side, and the way the filigree widens as it nears the top of the band allows for larger diamonds to occupy the spaces in that section.
The wave-like pattern of the filigree, as well as the way the diamonds are integrated, all help to give this ring a somewhat organic quality. That could be enhanced by the use of some colored gemstones like pink diamonds or sapphires to hint at a more floral theme.
