We have a long-standing relationship with Galatea, and their pieces are known for their innovative incorporation of light and expression of natural themes. They accomplish this through creative uses of traditional materials, and they are constantly pushing the limits of what is possible in fine jewelry design.
Carved Pearls
The organic pattern carved into each of the pearls in this set is composed of a series of overlapping leaf shapes that flow down from the top, eventually converging at the very bottom point of the pearl. This gives the surface of the pearl a unique texture, and the way it reflects light highlights the complex beauty of the material. The elegant lines of the carving also produce a feeling of dynamism and growth that complements the organic overtones nicely. Earrings
Earring Design
A floral cap made from 14k white gold attaches the pearls to their findings. The delicate shape of the cap adds to the overall floral nature of the design, and it introduces a subtle contrast with the silky surface of the pearl. On top of the cap, a ring of metal extends upward to connect to the finding, which consists of a narrow wire that passes through the ear.
This delicate design element also helps maintain full visual focus on the pearls, and it reinforces the organic themes of the piece as well. Both the earrings and the matching pendant share this simply elegant connection framework, and that adds to the wonderful display they make when worn as a set.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
