Aquamarine Centers
Each earring in this set is built around a cushion shaped aquamarine, the two of which together total 1.30 carats. They’re bezel set in 14k white gold, and the settings follow the contours of the stones most of the way around. The only exceptions to this are spots right in the middle of each side of the aquamarines where the metal suddenly runs away from the stone to form a point before returning to its original curvature.
The stones hang so that these points are at the compass positions, and that orientation combined with the delicate detailing help to give the earrings a star-like quality and vintage feel. The aquamarines are also checkerboard cut, which means the facets across their top surface are positioned to create a distinctive pattern that adds to their dramatic appearance. Earrings
Milgrain and Filigree
A double row of milgrain beading lines each bezel setting, further enhancing the vintage aesthetic of the set. Behind the stones, a vaguely organic-style filigree provides protection while also allowing plenty of light to reach the aquamarines from all sides.
