Whether you prefer to meet in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom, or you’d like to work with our designers online through the dedicated workroom we set up to manage your project, we’re committed to producing a piece that perfectly matches your vision. To this end, we’ll create detailed CAD representations of the design we propose to build, and only after you’ve made any desired adjustments to this will we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production. Sapphire Centers
Each earring centers on a round blue sapphire, and the two together total 1.76 carats. They’re prong set and the prongs meeting the stone at the compass positions. This arrangement gives the center setting a vaguely star-like quality, and it also allows the prongs to line up with the external corners of the earring bodies.
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
The outer portion of each earring is composed of several pear shaped sections of metal that are arranged in a nearly square shape around the center sapphires. Each section holds two small round diamond accents, and they’re all lined with milgrain beading for a bit of vintage flair. Vintage Engagement Rings
Customization Options
When you’re ready to customize a set like this, there are several good places to start. For instance, you could select a different color for the sapphire, or even a different gemstone entirely if there’s one that holds particular meaning for you. Or you could use a different color metal to add another layer of contrast to the design. Switching to a bezel setting in the center is an option as well, and it would help push the piece in a more contemporary direction if that’s where you think you’d like to go.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
