Blue Sapphires
There are four blue sapphires in this set, with one of the larger size and one of the smaller size in each earring. All four together total 1.10 carats, and the 18k white gold that encircles them contrasts beautifully with their rich, deep blue color.
Sapphires are available in many different shades, and so integrating another color into this design is one way to quickly put your personal mark on the set. Earring Design and Diamond Accents
Small round bright cut set diamonds surround each of the larger blue sapphires, forming perfectly round halos that give definition to the bottommost portion of each piece. The halo adds a nice contrast to go with its brilliant sparkle, and the combined size of the center and halo provide a satisfying weight at the bottom to balance out the design.
Just above the halo, two links of metal meet to join the lower portion of the earring to the bezel setting of the smaller sapphire. This stone is without a halo, and so it provides a nice transition to the front of the finding above. 100% Satisfaction
Two links above the smaller sapphire, a teardrop-shaped section of metal is covered with small pave set diamonds, and this attaches directly to the finding. The teardrop is inverted, leaving it positioned with its rounded end up and its corner pointing down toward the main portion of the earring below.
