Blue Topaz Centers and Diamond Halos
This set is built around two cushion cut blue topaz that together total 2.19 carats. They’re each held in place by four white gold prongs that meet them at their rounded corners. The top surfaces of the topaz are covered with a specific arrangement of facets that creates a distinctive checkerboard pattern of light and dark spaces depending on the angle they’re viewed from, and that adds another layer to the overall design of the set. Earrings
Halos of split prong set diamonds surround the topaz, and these follow the contours of the larger stones closely. The entire body of each earring is suspended from the finding by one corner, allowing it to hang with two corners aligned vertically and the other two horizontally. That brings balance and also a sense of dynamic movement to the design, and it complements the checkerboard pattern within the stones nicely.
Custom Fine Jewelry
If you’re interested in customizing this set, you may want to begin by changing the size or shape of the center stones. You could also experiment with a different setting style for the diamonds in the halo, and you could even use a different type of gemstone, perhaps one with special personal significance.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
