Carved Tahitian Pearls and Turquoise Accents
These earrings are composed largely of 10mm Tahitian pearls that are carved in an organic style. The indentations created are in the shape of teardrops, and they’re evenly spaced around the pearls in a staggered pattern. This gives the impression of droplets of water running down the sides of the pearls, and this is only enhanced by the striking color of the turquoise within each indentation.
The use of turquoise here adds to the design in several dimensions. It introduces a dramatic contrast with the rich, dark surface of the pearls, and it helps to take further the organic themes already present.
Earring Design and Diamonds
A floral-style cap made of 14k white gold attaches directly to the top of each pearl, and this gradually tapers moving up. Just above the cap, a small round diamond is flush set, and this detail brings a hint of glamorous flair to the design.
