Shared Prong Set Diamonds
There are seven diamonds in each of these earrings, and they are all round and shared prong set. The use of this setting style ensures that very little metal is visible between the stones, and the prongs simply show as points on the top and bottom of the rows of diamonds, as well as links between them.
Earring Design
The diamonds taper ever-so-slightly as they move backward away from the post, although not quite as much as the stones in the client’s inspiration piece. This gives them a nice balance as they follow the natural shape of the ear.
These are stud earrings, and the post meets the line of diamonds between the first and second stones. That placement helps the pieces sit naturally and comfortably on the ear, and the origin of the post is completely obscured when the earrings are in place.
