Custom Diamond Earrings
Item #1172Earrings Description
Once we have an idea about the direction you’d like to go with your design, we’ll develop models in CAD that we’ll then share with you through the dedicated workroom we set up to manage your project. You can request any changes you like to these models, and we can even grow a wax of your piece for you to inspect in person before giving final approval to move your project into production.
Diamond Settings
These earrings center on a pair of round brilliant cut diamonds, the two of which total 4.0 carats combined. They’re each held in a six-prong setting made of platinum, and the prongs are formed from the sides of two U-shaped pieces of metal coming together at the point. This pattern is repeated all the way around the stone, giving the setting a vaguely floral feel and a gently decorative look. Earrings
Adding to that floral quality is the placement of the prongs, which meet the stones at the top and bottom, with two others evenly spaced on either side. This gives the feeling of a flower as well, and it also helps to highlight the elegant shape of the diamonds.
Earring Design and Customization Options
The diamond settings connect to the finding through a curved piece of metal that arches up from the middle of the back, curving towards the ear and then down and around to join the clasp. The clasp, in turn, connects to the bottom of the back of the diamond setting, and that’s where the joint is as well.
To customize a piece like this, there are a few subtle changes you can make that will have a significant impact on the overall appearance of the design. For instance, switching to a different cut or shape of diamond would dramatically alter the look of the set, as would introducing some contrast through the use of a colored diamond or sapphire to replace the white diamonds. Using rose or yellow gold is an option as well, and this would help to reinforce the classical appearance of the set while also bringing some contrast of its own.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
