Description
These elegant dangle earrings are teardrop-shaped and feature round brilliant cut diamonds pave set in yellow gold. They were created for a client from Mercer Island, WA, who came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to share her ideas and preferences with us. We turned the information she gave us into this unique design, and once she approved our outlines, we put the set into production.

Diamonds
The diamonds in this set are arranged to complement the shape of the earrings themselves. To do this, a teardrop-shaped section of diamonds is pave set in the middle of the center section of each earring. Surrounding this is a ring of slightly larger shared prong set diamonds, which follows the contours of the earring perfectly to give the piece a bit more definition.
Shared prong set diamonds also run all the way around the outer ring of the dangle itself, and these mirror the alignment of the inner diamonds to create a nice balance. Heading up towards the post, there are two small leaf-shaped pieces of metal, and these each contain a single bright cut set diamond. Pave set diamonds on the face of the post complete the look.
Earring Design
These earrings are all about independent movement, with the center section hanging from a section of the chain that extends up to the post, but also dangling within the outer ring. This works well with the teardrop shape of the dangles, and it makes them seem more balanced, while also letting the diamonds shine in every direction as they tilt and rotate with normal movement. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
