Ruby Centers and Diamond Halos
At the center of each earring, a round ruby is prong set and this setting lifts it up above the level of the surrounding earring body. The two rubies together total 0.60 carats, and their rich, red color contrasts beautifully with the silvery shine of the metal. Earrings
A halo of small, round bright cut set diamonds surrounds each ruby, and these halos are more cushion shaped, adding an extra layer of contrast with the perfectly round shape of the rubies. All together, the diamonds in this set total 0.15 carats, but their dazzling sparkle stands out, and the use of the halo style provides a classical touch.
The bright cut setting style of the diamonds is another classically-themed element, but the lack of milgrain beading and the more squared shape of the halo push the set in a more contemporary direction. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
