South Sea Pearls
Each of these earrings centers on one white South Sea pearl that measures 12.5mm in diameter. Their soft, glossy color brings lovely classical overtones to the piece, and it contrasts beautifully with the cap the pearls are set in. South Sea pearls are among the most rare, as they grow to a larger size than most pearls, and the oysters that produce them can be found only within a limited area off of Australia’s northwest coast.
Diamond Accents
Two rings of round bright cut set diamonds run all the way around the caps on each pearl, with a total of 90 diamonds on each earring. These add an interesting design dynamic, as well as an additional layer of contrast to the piece.
The diamonds’ brilliant white color echoes that of the pearls, but with a sparkle that sets them apart. At the same time, they contrast with the warm tones of the rose gold they’re set in, and this makes their precise arrangement all the more clear.
